At about 11 p.m., she suffered from chest pain, and her husband Parag Tyagi and three others rushed her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai. Unfortunately, doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival. 

While initial reports pointed to a cardiac arrest as the cause of death, Mumbai Police have clarified that her body was found at her Andheri residence, and the exact reason is yet to be confirmed after a postmortem at Cooper Hospital. A police and forensics team is investigating at her home, and the industry awaits further details.

Only days before her death, Shefali posted an energetic Instagram photo captioned, “Bling it on baby ! 🪩✨” wearing a beautiful silver jumpsuit. The post, which was full of her own confidence, has since gone viral with fans left devastated. 

Her final X post was a touching tribute to her Bigg Boss 13 co-star Sidharth Shukla, who also died of a cardiac arrest in 2021 at age 40. Shefali’s emotional note, shared on Shukla’s death anniversary, read, “It’s sad that he is not with us anymore, but he still lives in our hearts and memories.” The tragic parallel between their deaths has left fans in disbelief.
